When You See All-Black American Flags In Montana, Here's Why

When it comes to being patriotic, no one has more love for America than Montana residents.

Okay, so maybe we're not number 1, but we're awfully close, and we do love our country in Montana. One way we show our love for the country is by flying the American flag.

The American Flag Can Be Seen Everywhere

In recent years, we've seen hundreds, if not thousands, of variations to the American flag.

We've seen the American flag put on napkins, hats, sunglasses, t-shirts, bikinis, and shoes; you name it, you probably can get it with the American Flag on it.

One of the newer variations of the American flag that I've noticed recently is instead of its familiar red, white, and blue color scheme, it's all-black.

The Meaning Behind The All-Black American Flag

Montanans are rugged individuals; we are tough, and we don't take any *BLEEP* from anyone, which is why I think when you learn the meaning behind these all-black flags, you might be rushing out to get your own.

According to the website The Word Counter, when flying an all-black American flag, it means "No Quarter Given," or that there will be no surrender. Think of it as the opposite of a white flag.

Flying a flag that says you will never quit or never surrender sounds pretty Montanan to me, but no matter what type of American flag you choose to fly, remember they all need to be treated with respect.
