Where To Get The Best “Cheap” Steak In Montana?
Montana’s Love Affair With a Good Steak
There are plenty of meals that can be prepared for a special occasion, but here in Montana I think most of us prefer a well-done steak.
Okay, saying "well done" was probably the wrong way to put that. Medium rare is really the only way to go. Either way, it’s safe to say we love our steak around here.

Steak Dinners Are Getting Harder On The Wallet
Lately, however, the price of beef has gotten a bit expensive, so going out to eat a steak dinner isn't always the most economical idea.
We've talked before about what is considered the best steakhouse in Montana, but today we want to talk about where to go to get the best "cheap" steak.
We don't want to point you to a place cooking up shoe leather and calling it steak, but also one that won't require you to take out a small loan when the bill arrives.
The Best Cheap Steakhouse In Montana According to Cheapism
We're going to be relying on the website called Cheapism, which makes a lot of sense when trying to find a "cheap" steak.
When it comes to their selection, they aren't just going by who offers the lowest-costing steak but instead looking at places that go that extra mile with customer service, have great customer reviews, and, of course, offer the best bang for your buck.
According to Cheapism, that place is Victor Steakhouse, in where else but Victor, Montana.
Here is what they had to say about this steakhouse:
“A real deal steakhouse” and “great atmosphere” are how customers describe Victor Steakhouse, located in a speck of a town on the far western side of the state. Sirloins start at $18 for a 6-ounce cut and go up to $29 for 16 ounces. Twenty-four ounces of porterhouse will set you back $38, and only the 18-ounce rib-eye tops $40.
Sadly, The Victor Steakhouse is currently closed as they are transitioning to new owners but should be opening soon.
In the meantime, why not check out our gallery below and find a welcoming steakhouse in your neighborhood?
