Depending on your starting point and destination, planning a weekend getaway in Montana often means staying within the state. So, where do the "experts" recommend you go?

Montana Getaways Feel Like Visiting A New State

As someone who didn't grow up in Montana, I don't have a positive or negative bias towards any towns under the Big Sky.

I just want to go out, explore, and hopefully come back with a story or two to tell along with a handful of memories.

I previously mentioned that you don’t have to leave Montana for a weekend getaway. Due to the state’s vast size, traveling to certain towns can feel like entering an entirely different state.
