Early Morning Bomb Threat Shakes Great Falls
No one likes being woken up at 5am to an emergency, but multiple agencies in Great Falls experienced that the morning of January 15th.
The Great Falls International Airport was busier than usual early that Thursday morning after a bomb threat was called in.

Law Enforcement And FBI Respond Quickly
The target was a FedEx cargo plane, and once it landed, it was surrounded by local law enforcement, airport staff, military explosive teams, and even the FBI was on the scene.
While the situation was tense, it was quickly found to be a hoax, and thankfully no one was hurt.
In the end it showed just how well these agencies can work together even here in Great Falls, which, while large for Montana, is smaller than other cities where the FBI typically responds
Coordinated Response Highlights Readiness
It's also very reassuring to know that had this been a real emergency, the speed and teamwork they displayed for this shows that the city is ready should a real emergency rear its head.
It's also a good reminder that these types of moments can happen in an instant, but thanks to training and preparation, those of us living in Great Falls and Montana are in safe hands.
