What Montana Towns Saw Their Economy Exploded
I'll admit this "booming" economy might be a bit suspect because of the data they use.
They use the growth from 2017 to 2022, but it only takes a look at what it was at for 2017 and then again where it was in 2022, so it doesn't account for steady or sustained growth.
Still, the fact that two Montana towns saw economic growth during the pandemic years is something to be proud of, so what are the two towns that saw this growth?

West Yellowstone and Bozeman Economies Are Strong
First up, the 3rd fastest-growing economy over this time period was West Yellowstone, although I do have to question them calling this town a "metro."
Same goes for the number one fastest-growing economy during this 5-year period; I don't think many outside of Montana would consider Bozeman to be a metro.
It's not surprising to see the economy of Bozeman see growth, as it's been seeing a huge influx of new residents and tourists over that same time period.
While this data may be a bit flawed, seeing growth is far better than seeing shrinkage.
