USA Today has recently put out a new "10 Best Readers Choice" list that allows readers to vote on what they think are the best places to enjoy during the winter.

While I am surprised that a few categories didn't have Montana as a nominee, Montana does find itself nominated in two different categories for us to vote on that we've got listed below.

Best Cross-Country Ski Resort

Homestake Lodge: Whitehall, Montana

Immersive narrow trails rolling through forests and amid granite outcrops are hallmarks of the cross-country experience at this Nordic center near Butte, Montana. Most of the 35-plus km of groomed cross-country trails have both classic track and skate lanes, 15 km of the trails are dog-friendly, and night owls can take a few laps on 2 km of lighted Nordic trails.
