There are some fishing spots my husband likes to go to that are just a little tough to get to. Having small kids makes it harder to hike for a mile before we even get to the spot so I wanted to put together a list of my favorite, nearby, FAMILY friendly spots where the kids can easily get to the spot and have a decent chance at catching something.

Easy Locations For Your Family To Access Without Hiking

If you have ever been to Giant Springs you know there are at least two family friendly spots and a pretty good chance of landing something even if its not going to win any awards for largest fish in Montana.

You can fish off of the point near the hatchery or head down the trail to the pond where you have a great opportunity to catch a couple of little rainbows.

Most of these spots are just a short drive but some are a little bit of a trip to get to, the farthest one is about 60 miles away
