
Cascade County Sheriff’s Office: Homicide Suspect Is A “Potential Threat”
On Monday (1/12), we shared a story with you about a homicide investigation taking place in Cascade County.
"We're here on scene on the 1700 block of 22nd Ave South," Sheriff Slaughter said in a video announcing the homicide. "Cascade County Sheriff's deputies along with the Great Falls police department, we're out here investigating a suspicious death."
Now, Cascade County Sheriff's Office is providing an update and a warning for all of us in the area.
Cascade County Homicide Investigation Update
Authorities are continuing to investigate the homicide of Terrell Johnson, a 25-year-old male from Harlem, Montana. On Monday (1/12), we shared a photo of a red 2014 Chevy Cruze that law enforcement wanted more information about to help them figure out where the victim went, who he was with, etc.
Now, authorities shared an update with an important warning about the suspect they're looking for.

"CCSO is actively seeking a suspect believed to be involved in this crime," CCSO said in a press release, "Based on information developed during the investigation, detectives are searching for a male who was on foot in this area: 18th Street South to 5th Street South and 10th Avenue South to 22nd Avenue South."
"The timeframe of interest is the morning of January 9th, 2026, between approximately 5:55 a.m. and 7:00 a.m."
Police are asking any businesses or homes in the area to share any surveillance video, doorbell recordings, or any other form of media that shows an individual walking in the area during this time.
Cascade County Homicide Investigation: Suspect Is Dangerous
It certainly sounds like law enforcement is getting closer to finding the culprit behind the homicide and hopefully it's sooner than later. Officials are warning the public that the suspect could potentially be dangerous.
"Based on investigative findings so far, detectives believe this individual poses a potential threat to the safety of the community."
