
DoorDash Data Breach Exposes Info of Montana Users
As we're all aware, the holiday season is one of the most popular times of the year for scammers and thieves to strike. They try to catch us during a time when people are vulnerable and even stressed over the holidays.
Other times, thieves target businesses in hopes of extracting as much personal information as possible with the goal of using it for financial gain. And that's exactly what happened with DoorDash, the popular delivery service.
DoorDash Announces A Major Data Breach Affecting Montana Users
According to multiple sources including Yahoo Finance, DoorDash has confirmed they're databases of customer info have been breached. Stolen information includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, and even physical addresses according to USA Today.
But DoorDash did say there was a silver lining to all of this.
"No sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers or other government-issued identification numbers, driver’s license information, or bank or payment card information, was accessed," DoorDash told USA TODAY in a statement.

Well, that's good!! I mean - the data breachers know where we sleep at night but at least they can't open a credit card with my SSN or other government ID numbers.
What Can We Do About The DoorDash Data Breach?
DoorDash told several media outlets they've shut down "the unauthorized party's access, started an investigation", and got law enforcement involved. For now, affected customers are being contacted by DoorDash and they've invited those with questions to contact their call center at 1-833-918-8030.
