Future Fisheries Improvement Program In Montana

Montana fisheries will soon benefit from a new habitat project that includes spawning and rearing habitat for brown and rainbow trout in Kamperschroer Spring Creek and improved fish passage on the upper Clark Fork River near Deer Lodge.

The $390,000 in funding comes from the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission's future fisheries program.

Planned Fishery Improvements

This year's projects will include stream restoration, riparian fencing, streambank repair, and enhancements for both native and non-native fish species.
