Generally, Montana is known for its snow crested Mountains and seemingly endless great plains, but there is one thing that leaves a bit of a black eye on our state.

That black eye is the gambling addiction.

Gambling In Montana

In all honesty, I can't think of a single town in Montana that doesn't have a casino or at least a gas station with a few gambling machines.

Many of the larger towns in Montana have been overrun with casinos.

It never fails when folks visit from other states, one of the first things they point out is just how many casinos are scattered throughout our cities.

Is it the fault of these casinos that Montana is one of the most gambling addicted states in the nation? No, it's not.

At the end of the day, people have a choice on how to spend their time and what to spend their money on, it's not like these businesses are forcing people to gamble.

However, the sheer number of them makes it incredibly easy to drop in, relax, and spend money, hoping to win it big.

The financial website WalletHub recently did an in-depth study on gambling throughout the United States, and which states are home to the most addicted gamblers.

It didn't come as much of a surprise to me when I noticed that Montana made the list.
