Is Great Falls One Of Montana’s Best Kept Secrets?

Before we get into the meat of this article, you have to remember no place on earth is perfect.

Every town in America has its positives and its negatives.

Sure, some places have more allure and benefits than others, but many of a community's benefits are in the eye of the beholder.

So, as the title of this article implies, is Great Falls, Montana, one of the best-kept secrets in the Treasure State?

The other day, I was in a meeting with a statewide organization, and they were discussing their upcoming conference.

They were trying to determine which city in Montana in which hold the event.

Everyone at the meeting was making a case for one town or the other, and while listening to the benefits of other Montana communities, I thought to myself, Great Falls has all of these things and so much more!

Let's take a quick look at why I think Great Falls, Montana, is one of the best-kept secrets in the Treasure State.

• Affordability
  • Great Falls remains one of the most affordable towns in Montana. Whether it's hotel rates, dining, or even housing prices, it's relatively inexpensive, and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
• Access to Amenities
  • Great Falls is not flooded with big box stores; however, our community does have some shopping gems, many of which are unique and owned locally.
• Recreation
  • This is probably one of the biggest benefits of Great Falls. Not only are there ample recreational opportunities in town, half an hour in most any direction, and you're in the mountains. Not to mention, we're halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier.

I could go on and on with the benefits of our community, these are just a few of the highlights that came to mind.
