A 28 year old Great Falls man has been arrested on a host of charges including resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer.  It all went down around midnight Sunday night.

Police were responding to an abandoned house in the 1300 block of 6th Avenue South on a report of several people hanging out in the house.  When police arrived a man was seen running from the house.  He's  been identified as Stephen Kinney.  Police were able to get him into custody and police believe the abandoned home was being used for drugs.  When police searched Kinney they found what they say is a meth pipe and a white crystalline substance that tested positive for meth.  When officers asked Kinney what the white substance was he told them he thought it was marijuana.  When asked about the pipe,  Kinney told police he found it at a school.

Here's where things began to change.

Police then handcuffed Kinney and as they were taking him to the patrol car Kinney told the officer that he could do a front flip right now and that the officer would then be "done."

Police say Kinney then tensed his body and arm that the officer was holding and tried to then pin the officers arm to himself.  Police then used what they said was considerably more force and took down Kinney.

He is charged today with criminal possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer.  His bond has been set at $50,000.
