Montana Crowned the #1 Vacation Spot on the Entire Planet
It's no secret to any of us that Montana is gorgeous and America's pride and joy. When you ask anyone to guess where the most beautiful scenery in America is, there's a very high chance the answer you'll get is Montana.
And if that wasn't the answer before, it most definitely is now.
Montana Is The Best Vacation Destination In The World... Literally
It's officially safe to say that Montana is the best place to visit on the planet. Expedia recently released their 'Destinations of the Year', which Expedia says "is powered by real-time search data from Expedia's app and website - revealing where global traveler interest is taking off."

Only ten destinations made the list and only two out of the top ten are in the United States: Montana.
We all know Montana is amazing but the other nine destinations in the top ten aren't too shabby either. Those destinations include Okinawa, Japan, which came in second; Sardinia, Italy; Phu Quoc, Vietnam; Savoie, France; Fort Walton Beach, USA; Ucluelet, Canada; Cotsworld, UK; San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; and Hobart, Australia.
Montana: World Travel & Tourism Council Approved
Montana rounded out the top ten at number one with a 92% traveler interest rate and according to Expedia, aligns with "WTTC's six actions for sustainable tourism management."

This news shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who lives here but how are we feeling about it? Are we chalking this up as a badge of honor? Or this a "red flag" of sorts because of the outsiders or potential future transplants it might attract to our state?
