You know, I'm all about freedom of choice or "free will" as some people call it. But as the old saying goes: "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."

Unfortunately, there will always be people out there testing the limits of their free will without any regard of the potential consequences they might encounter.

Montana Law Enforcement: "Have You Seen This Man?"

Helena Police Department recently asked for the public's assistance in helping identify a male suspect who robbed a Walmart and made a harrowing escape on a shopping scooter.

"This isn’t funny but at the same time this is hilarious," one person said in the comment section of Helena PD's post. "He used his free will to the max."

The suspect has glasses, brown hair, white facial hair, and according to the photos provided by police, carries a cane with him.

As bad as theft is, the photos do give off an unintentionally funny vibe. In the first photo, we see what appears to be an innocent shopper entering the store, utilizing one of Walmart's handy motorized scooters.

In the next photo, we see the suspect zipping out of the store with what appears to be a portable speaker or an amp of some sort and an unidentified container (with who knows what inside) in the basket.

The Internet Goes Wild For The "Scooter Bandit"

The suspect, who we're now calling the "Scooter Bandit", sparked a number of responses from amused Montanans and understandably so - it's not the kind of high-speed theft you see everyday!

"You couldn't catch him stealing in a motorized cart that literally goes 5 miles per hour!?" one person commented complete with laughing emojis.

"Who put that in the scooter for him?" another logically questioned.

Humor aside, theft isn't funny and hopefully authorities are able to identify the Scooter Bandit before he strikes the community again. Be on the lookout! If you have any information, you can contact authorities at 406-457-8865.
