If you love the sky, forget going to a planetarium this August.   Mother Nature and the Montana Big Sky will have you covered for an incredible light show, for free.  August means meteor showers across the country and seeing them in our skies will be easy over the next couple of weeks.

3 Different Meteor Showers, All in the Month of August

Through the first week of August, stargazers can look to the heavens for 2 different meteor showers happening.  The Southern Delta Aquarids and Alpha Capricornids bring nearly 15-20 meteors per hour on average.  You may even have a chance to see an actual fireball with these showers.  They will peak into Monday night on July 31st but will continue through the week.

But Wait, There Is More!  August Will Also Feature This Yearly Shower

If you happen to miss any of the action at the start of the month, don't worry.  You will still have plenty of chances to check out another of the celestial phenomena that happen.

This meteor shower will appear more into the middle of the month of August, with peak times the weekend of August 12th and 13th.  During that time, the Perseid shower will rain down nearly 100 meteors per hour during the peak hours.  With the moon being in a new phase, light factors shouldn't be a hindrance for this incredible event.
