Message from the 341st Missile Wing Commander

I would like to thank our Airmen, the emergency responders and local community partners for their quick response and support during this morning’s incident. I am thankful everyone is safe. This morning, our scheduled active shooter exercise was stopped when a report was made of a real-world active shooter on base. First responders appropriately reoriented to reports of a real-world event.
I am proud of the Airman who followed their training and called 911 when they had reason to believe an emergency was taking place. They treated the incident with the seriousness that was warranted, until we could determine there was no threat to the community.
My number one priority is the safety and welfare of our service members, their families and our local community. We take every threat to the base seriously and I am proud of the swift response by all agencies and partnership with local emergency services. Again, I am thankful that everyone involved is safe.
