Montana Wild Set New Programs for July in Helena

The love of the outdoors can draw many to the great state of Montana.  And for those of us that grew up, work and live here, that love is part of what makes the state so incredibly inviting.

But we also must be aware of the dangers that come with more people in our state and continue to help with conservation efforts.  Helping us with that chore is the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks division called the Montana Wild Center.

Montana Wild Conservation Center in Helena, Montana

The Montana Wild Conservation Center is located in the state capitol of Helena, Montana.  Adjacent to the Spring Meadow State Park, the center offers programs to people wanting to learn more about conservation efforts and how to help.

The center is open and free to visitors Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Upon visiting, you can find many different ways to spend the day including:

  • Engaging exhibits
  • Interactive activities like scavenger hunts
  • Montana fish aquarium
  • an outdoor picnic area

New Events Announced at the Center for the Month of July in Montana

The center also offers regular educational programs on a variety of topics to the public.  The center has announced that there will be several opportunities to take advantage of these in the month of July.

The following programs will be on the schedule at the Montana Wild Center:

  • Family Fishing Night on July 15th, 2025
  • Bird Banding on July 18th, 2025
  • Bat Walk on July 18th, 2025 (evening program)
