No More Sharing at This Popular Store in Montana
Most everything is via subscription anymore. Our television that we watch, stores we shop at, even out pets have subscription services available to them.
And it isn't really a surprise that when families have those subscriptions, they will probably share them with other members. However, one of the most popular box stores offering membership is cracking down hard on that sharing.
Costco Announces Changes to Membership Services, Montana Included
The new changes will affect how customers and members access Costco locations across the state and country. Announced on their website, Costco stated that:
Over the coming months, membership scanning devices will be used at the entrance door of your local warehouse. Once deployed, prior to entering, all members must scan their physical or digital membership card by placing the barcode or QR Code against the scanner. Guests must also be accompanied by a valid member for entry.
The scanners are being placed in order to crack down on unauthorized membership sharing among family and friends.
