When I look out my office window, it is extremely hard to believe that it is winter in Montana. Or at least it should be winter in our state. Mother Nature has kept central Montana from experiencing anything close to what we normally expect or experience.
But that doesn't mean that other areas of our state aren't seeing some of the white stuff accumulate. One of the most popular areas for winter recreation is West Yellowstone, and since they have seen winter and snow, it means time to break out some fun in the cold of Montana.

For snowmobile enthusiasts, the West Yellowstone area holds some of the most breathtaking areas and trails that you can find in Montana. But what happens when you cross the X-Games with the area?

What you get is a high-octane, fun filled weekend of spectacular jumps and adrenaline filled displays from X Games Gold Medalist Brett Turcotte and Willie Elam, along with X Games athlete Kyle Saxton. The event will also feature vintage racing, kids racing and factory reps on hand to answer questions.
How to Attend the 2026 Octane Expo in West Yellowstone, Montana in 2026
The 2026 Octane Expo will be held on March 8 and 9, 2026, at the West Yellowstone Heritage Park. Event gates will open at 8am each day, with events running until 11pm each day.
Tickets are available online here, with limited VIP packages available for purchase. Tickets will also be available each day of the event at the gate, with one or two-day passes available for the public to purchase.
