The world famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses will be in Great Falls for 4 days at the end of August.

The History Of The Budweiser Clydesdale Horses

Back in 1933 America was celebrating the repeal of Prohibition. It could be said that the Busch family had a lot to celebrate.

In April of 1933 the sons of August A. Busch, Sr. gave him a 6 horse Clydesdale hitch to commemorate the repeal of Prohibition in America.

Busch Sr. saw the marketing potential for the horses and Budweiser, so they bought another 6 horse team and sent them delivering beer all across New England and the Mid Atlantic states in celebration. They toured America and stopped at the White House to reenact the delivery of one of the first cases of Budweiser to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The rest, as they say, is history.
