I vaguely know a Corinthians passage that ends with something to the effect of, "When I became a man, I put away childish things."

I think it means something a bit deeper than just putting the toys of your childhood aside to be a grown-up, but whatever.

However, people no matter how old they are seem to love things from their childhood. I felt nostalgic for things from my childhood when I reached the age of 30. I'm guessing it was enough time between being a teenager and thinking about "grown-up stuff" as a young adult. For me, once I got to a certain age, I took a look back.

Seems as though I'm not the only one that does this, or even thinks about it.

While perusing reddit like I always do, I saw an r/AskReddit post asking what is "for kids" that you continue to thoroughly enjoy as an adult.

What is “for kids” that you continue to thoroughly enjoy as an adult?

I related to most answers people gave because they all seemed to be around my age range.

My generation were the last to witness Saturday Morning Cartoons. One can still find cartoons to watch on a Saturday, but not like they used to on network TV. When we were growing up shows like Family Guy, The Simpsons, Looney Tunes all remained on and  now are still viewed by adults. It's even better when you can enjoy cartoons with your children.

Legos

This is something we all had growing up and made some of us into amazing architects and all it took was a few blocks to build with. With all the sets available to build, no wonder adult spend lots of money for a toy they can build, child or no child.

This takes me back to the school yard. Being small enough to pass through a tiny slide and trying to rocket into orbit on a swing set is pretty cool when you look back on childhood. I hit the park every once in awhile to climb on something and you can't tell me you haven't hit the swing set walking home after a night at the bar being brave enough to try for the moon again.

Stuffed Animals

It seems like at home, our kid has a million stuffed animals and my wife is attached to every single one as well. It's nice to have a little company while trying to doze off at night. These are another thing that seem to grow as my generation did. Some stuffed animals these days are highly collectable and have that NRFB(Never Remove From Box) vibes to them. What good is a stuffed animal if you can't cuddle with it.
