Measles Exposure In Cascade County Montana
The Electric is reporting that the Cascade City-County Health Department was informed on June 3 of a measles exposure in Great Falls. The infected individual had come into Great Falls from Hill County for an appointment.
Two days after the visit from Great Falls, May 29, 2025, the person started showing symptoms of the measles. This is in the contagious window for the disease.

Where Did This Individual Go In Great Falls?
- The infected individual was in the Prospect Heights Medical Center at 401 15th Avenue South
- The date of exposure is May 27, 2025 from 1:30p-5:30p
The offices in Prospect Heights Medical Center are:
- Northwest Physicians
- Quest Diagnostics
- Dr. Susan Avery
- Atlas Neurology
- Sun River Health
- Central Montana Orthopedic Specialists
Anyone who was in the building in any of the businesses between 1:30p and 5:30p on May 27, 2025 has a good chance of being exposed to the measles. Why? The businesses all share one ventilation system in the building and the measles can hang in the air and on surfaces for about 2 hours.
What Should You Do If You Were Exposed To The Measles In Great Falls?
First thing you should do if you think you've been exposed is call the Cascade City County Health Department at 406-791-9242
Any unprotected person who was exposed on this date could have started showing symptoms as early as June 4, 2025, but it's more likely the symptoms will show up next week. If you think you are vulnerable, it's best to self isolate for 21 days.
If you were exposed but have presumed immunity, you don't really need to quarantine, but watch for symptoms for the next 21 days to be safe.
If you think you've been exposed to the measles, go to the doctor. But, DO NOT just walk in to a doctor or clinic. Call your heath care provider to arrange for a screening that is safe for you and the public.
