Montana Women May Now Need Passports Just To Vote
- Safeguard Voter Eligibility Act passed the House on April 10, 2025
- The SAVE Act will directly affect any woman who has ever been married and taken their husband's last name or changed their last name
The SAVE Act Will Strip Thousands Of Montana Women Of The Right To Vote
This isn't speculation, this is a FACT. If the SAVE Act passes, to register to vote, every American will be required to show a birth certificate or passport to register. And that is it. Married/divorced/widowed women who changed their last name when they got married WILL NOT be able to register to vote because their name doesn't match the birth certificate.
I'm going to say that again: Married/divorced/widowed women who changed their last name when they got married WILL NOT be able to register to vote because their name doesn't match the birth certificate.

Call me whatever names you like, but this is true. One thing you can't call me, a person stupid enough to change my last name to some other persons last name because he was the man I chose to marry. I can't even IMAGINE changing my last name like that. It's laughable to me.
Here are sources that say EXACTLY what I said will happen if/when the SAVE Act passes: Newsweek, 19th News, Campaign Legal, American Progress, NCSL, Associated Press, USA Today, Vote Riders, Rock The Vote and thousands more. Just do a search.
You realize if you're an adopted MAN you will face the same challenges as the women.
Is There Anything I Can Use If I'm A Married Woman Or Adopted Man?
The only other thing the government will accept to prove citizenship is a passport. Your Real ID, even though you needed the same things to get it, is worthless. Worthless.
Only 5.2 out of every 100 Montanans actually have a passport. In a state with around a million people only around 62,000 of us have one.
Also No More Voting By Mail, No More Registering On Line
It isn't all JUST to take more rights from women. It's also to take rights away from men. Just not as many.

It's Time To Get A Passport Or Change Names Back
Seriously, get on it ladies. Nearly every woman and adopted person in America will try to take "the easy way out" and get a passport to be able to vote.
What do you think the backup on that will be? Will you be able to vote in mid-terms or even your next local election? Why take the chance.
