Love Bobcat Football? Locals and Critics Have High Hopes
Bobcat football games are an event you don't want to miss, and this year will be exciting.
It's never too early to get excited about Montana State Football. This Saturday, April 22nd, will be the Sonny Holland Classic Spring Game, where fans can head to Bobcat Stadium and get a preview of what the team will look like this fall.
The Bobcat football team has played incredibly in the past couple of years, with the teams ending up in the FCS National Championship game in 2021 and the FCS Semifinals in 2022.
So it should be no surprise there is a lot of preseason hype for the upcoming 2023 season.
The NCAA made a tier list of every FCS team heading into the 2023 season, and they have high hopes for Montana State. The NCAA listed the Bobcats under the Frisco or Bust tier, which means they expect Montana State to be one of the contenders for the National Championship in 2023.
The NCAA also listed Montana State Quarterback Tommy Mellott as the second-best returning quarterback in the FCS. The local kid out of Butte has helped make the Bobcats one of the best teams in the nation. Everyone is hoping for big things from him in his junior year.
We might be less than five months away from the start of the season for the Montana State Bobcats, but everyone cannot wait for the first home game of the year.
Could this be the year that Montana State finally gets over the hump and win a National Championship? All we know is the Bobcats will have the full support of Bobcat Nation behind them at every game they play.
Go Bobcats!
